Trees in the City Trees in the city have long been important for health and wellness, an experience of nature, urban climate, air quality and much more besides. Their importance has become ever greater in recent times owing to climate change, the increasing proportion of urban dwellers and their ever-increasing alienation from nature, and a renewed appreciation of urban green spaces. Professor Dr. Andreas Roloff, international bekannter und anerkannter Baumschulsachverständiger, ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Forstbotanik an der TU Dresden in Tharandt. Bis zu seinem Ruf an die TU Dresden 1993 war er an der Universität Göttingen tätig.
