Beschreibung

Trees in the City Trees in the city have long been important for health and wellness, an experience of nature, urban climate, air quality and much more besides. Their importance has become ever greater in recent times owing to climate change, the increasing proportion of urban dwellers and their ever-increasing alienation from nature, and a renewed appreciation of urban green spaces. But the demands made on city trees are also increasing: they need to fulfil their functions as comprehensively and for as long as possible, but also inexpensively and with a minimum of management. This book presents to practitioners, planners, and urban green space administrators and lovers of city trees the current state of the art when it comes to trees in the city.
