Tree Crowns: An Understanding, Interrelationships and Applications The crowns of forest, city and street trees react to environmental changes at the level of the site. After twenty years of research on this phenomenon, trees can now be employed as bioindicators for these changes. Thanks to these findings, it is possible to comprehend the life history of a tree, which can often only be described as the art of survival.
