Prof. Dr. Dieter Hoppmann war Leiter Agrarmeteorologie mit Schwerpunkt Weinbau an der Außenstelle des Deutschen Wetterdienstes in Geisenheim. Er ist Mitglied im Forschungsring des Deutschen Weinbaus. Dr. Manfred Stoll leitet den Fachbereich Allgemeiner Weinbau an der Hochschule Geisenheim. Prof. Dr. Klaus Schaller war bis 2009 Direktor der Forschungsanstalt Geisenheim.
