This glossary covers all areas of library and information science. It offers English library terms that are used in the United States, and Chinese terms that differentiate Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwanese usage. It contains approximately 8,000 entries, listed alphabetically and categorized according to functional use. The glossary emphasizes technical terms not defined in standard dictionaries and provides translations for new terms as well as those long in daily use.
