'Deficits of Resumption of Proceedings in Criminal Matters. Stocktaking and Proposals for Reforms Based on an Empirical Investigation' The thesis analyses the law of resumption of proceedings from the standpoint of legal dogma and submits - also based on the authors own empirical investigation - proposals for reforms to eliminate deficits found. Besides that, the remedy is presented and classified in the context of the legal remedies. In addition, the constitutional reference to resumption is examined. Based on the investigation carried out, it is shown that applicable law is ineffective in its practical handling.

Carolin Arnemann studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Augsburg mit Schwerpunkt im Wirtschaftsstrafrecht und internationalen Straf- und Strafprozessrecht. Bereits in der Studienzeit widmete sie sich der Praxis der Strafverteidigung. Es folgten Referendariat und Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen mit Stationen u.a. in München. Seit 2013 ist Frau Arnemann als Strafverteidigerin tätig, seit 2015 in der Kanzlei Witting, Contzen & Kollegen. 2016 wurde ihr der Titel Fachanwältin für Strafrecht verliehen.
