This book engages the issue of anger as a viable instrument of expressing discontent, disillusionment and disenchantment with self, government and institutions. It represents a radical view of anger, not as a useless emotion but as a basic human emotion that has a force for constructive ends. Its expression can be a trigger for a desire to change a prevailing unpleasant situations. The plays of Osborne and Osofisan examined in this book show anger as a fundamental component of art since it forms both material and style of the plays.
