The work is undertaken, to isolate and screen potent bio active metabolites producing Actinomycetes from mangrove habitats by employing the selective screening methods, the potential isolates will be identified by various morphological, biochemical and microscopic methods and also to detect antimicrobial activities as well as isolation, purification and structural elucidation of bioactive metabolites produced by Streptomyces cheonanensis VUK-A.

Dr. Krishna Naragani was born in chavali, Guntur Dist.,India. Holds a Ph.D. in Botany by the Acharya Nagarjuna Univesiry, Guntur, India. And also selected SRF from UGC-DRS-SAP, and Young Scientist from SERB-DST, NewDelhi. Main area of interest is the study of Isolation of bioactive compounds from actinomycetes from mangrove ecosystems.
