The Sylhet valley is formed by a beautiful, winding pair of rivers named the Surma and the Kushiara both of which are fed by innumerable hill streams from the north and the south. Sylhet is the land of Shrines, natural Hills, forests, beautiful tree plantations and lots of Haors. It is full of natural beauties. A large number of tourists come every year to visit Sylhet. In this book, an effort was made to describe the geography of Sylhet region and tourism potentiality and some important tourist sport of this part of Bangladesh. Here also have a description of socio economic condition of Kadimnagar area of Sylhet for understanding socio economic status of Sylhet region and also had an effort for describing Stone lifting in Jaflong of Piyan river in Sylhet.
