Beschreibung

In the present scenario, the rate at which the non-renewable source of energy is being consumed has become a major concern not only for scientists and engineers but also for the users. Future prospect of natural sources of energy like coal, natural gas, and petroleum products are going to be in scarce. In this study, an absorption refrigeration system is taken which is desirable to use heat directly as the operating energy due to which it can be driven by low-grade heat such as solar energy, geothermal energy, waste heat from industries and so on, which results in reducing the rate of consumption of fossils fuel. Although vapor absorption systems came into existence much earlier than vapor compression refrigeration system, but they were replaced by the later due to ease of their usage. However, due to environmental concerns such as global warming and ozone hole problems, absorption chillers are regaining the lost ground. The motive of this study is to provide appropriate information to design engineers for developing the sustainable machine. The parametric analysis of single effect, double effect series, and parallel flow absorption refrigeration system is discussed in details.
