The work narrated in the following pages portrays a research study carried out as part of the Master's programme in Management of Health Units at the University of Beira Interior. It began in 2003 and ended in 2007 with the title The Influence of Shift Work on the Quality of Healthcare. It was later presented and defended before a jury of public exams for a master's degree in Health Unit Management.
