Beschreibung

This book does not purport to provide all the relevant information. It is an effort to give the reader a general overview of what Ubembe is, and perhaps also an encouragement to researchers to be willing to work in this area to discover and locate the riches to be exploited for safe community development. The presentation will lead the reader to the indigenous people, the Babembe, and will leave room for their socio-political organization and way of life. We believe that this knowledge of the indigenous people is indispensable to all those who are leading or are called to lead evangelization in Ubembe, or better yet, will help to guide evangelization efforts in this region. It may also be of use to national authorities seconded from other regions to work in this part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, or to foreigners wishing to settle there or organise a development work there. Finally, it is an analytical essay on the evangelization carried out until then in Ubembe. However proposed by a layman, an individual linked to a religion and a culture, this reflection can only trigger a debate that is beneficial to all.
