In (vocational) education and training reporting, e.g. in the Vocational Education and Training Report or in the Data Report on the Vocational Education and Training Report, the currently significant educational policy developments and challenges in vocational education and training are presented and interpreted using meaningful indicators. These indicators are based on (official) data and statistics. They vary in their construction and informative value. This publication presents the central indicators used in education reporting. These include indicators on participation in company-based training, the situation on the training place market, participation in vocational training, the efficiency of dual vocational training and the scope of vocational training. The aim is to make the respective calculation methods of the individual indicators transparent and thus provide information on their scope and explanatory power.
