The author Uwe Hinrichs (born 1941) was the subcontractor chief coordinator and logistic manager from 2004 until 2010 for the construction of the Burj Khalifa (joint venture Samsung/Besix/Arabtec). He has been active al over the world in the field of construction logistics since 1979, both for building and infrastructure projects. From 1999, he was project manager for major projects at Arabtec.
